The journey of starting a business is always unique and personal. Some entrepreneurs have the opportunity to start a business from a place of financial stability, while others may start their business from a place of uncertainty and sacrifice. This was the case for Nejla Hubbard and Rosie Robinson, co-founders of Queendom Queenz, Gifts Unleashed. They both left their hometowns and careers to become caregivers for their families, leaving their income behind. This experience inspired them to start a business that they could be passionate about, while also helping their families and building a legacy for future generations.

Starting a business as a Black entrepreneur can come with its own set of challenges. Nejla and Rosie faced balancing their family responsibilities while building their business, all while navigating the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. They knew that in order to succeed in a competitive market, they had to create good products, be consistent, give back to the community, and help other businesses. One of the biggest challenges they faced was starting their business with their own savings and money. They knew that this was a make-or-break moment, and they were determined to succeed. This determination and drive led them to create the Queendom, which has become a symbol of strength, resilience, and empowerment.

Queendom Queenz is a business that embraces and celebrates their culture. Working with the Melanin Market and seeing the support they give to Black entrepreneurs and communities, has helped the Queendom to thrive and grow. Their products reflect their culture and heritage, and their mission is to create a business that empowers and uplifts their community.

The Queendom recognizes the importance of the Black community in helping their business grow. They encourage the community to share their ideas and support their business, as they are all in this together. The Queendom is currently working on a Youtube page, which will showcase Nejla Hubbard's acting and writing talents for off-Broadway plays.

For those who have a burning passion to start their own business, Queendom Queenz offers this advice: just start. It is never too late to pursue your dreams, and the Queendom is proof that with hard work, determination, and sacrifice, anything is possible.

As a Black-owned business, the Queendom has learned many lessons. One of the most important lessons is that it does not hurt their business to light another's candle. They recognize that everyone is not going to tell them everything, and that continuing education and research is a must. They also know that all money is not good money, and that they need to be people of integrity in order to succeed in the long run.

The Black business community can continue to thrive and succeed by being people of integrity and keeping their networks strong and tight. The Queendom is a testament to what is possible when Black entrepreneurs work together, support each other, and uplift their communities.
